Do I have to attend the live lectures?
You are encouraged to attend live lectures on Monday evenings at 5pm EST (New York Time) starting at November 2, 2020. However, we know that participants from more than 100 countries registered for this program, so, those participants who can not attend the lectures live can view it at their convenience at youtube.com/m3center
What do I need to do to get the certificate?
You need to attend/view the lectures starting on November 2, 2020 and pass the quiz for each lecture. There will be a total of 7 sessions and 7 quizzes. Once you pass all quizzes for these seven sessions, you will receive your certificate.
Is there a deadline to take the quizzes after each lecture?
Yes, you need to take the quizzes by the end of December 31, 2020. You can take the quizzes after each lecture or you can take them all together. We recommend that participants take the quiz after each lecture so that material is fresh.
Where can I access the quizzes?
You can access the quizzes and other class materials at Schoology website. If you do not have an account with Schoology, please create a student account and register for the class. To register for this certificate program, you will need a course code. This code will be emailed to you after you register.
What if I failed a module quiz?
Each quiz at the end of a module will allow unlimited attempts for you to get a perfect score. We encourage you to re-watch content you may want to review from that module before taking the quiz again.
Who are the instructors?
The faculty members in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of South Florida will be providing the lectures in this program.
Is this certificate program for credit?
No, this certificate program is offered as a non-credit program.
Can I interact with the instructors?
Yes, you can interact with the instructors during the live lectures (Monday evenings at 5pm EST) at youtube.com/m3center. If you are watching the lectures from the recordings, you can still ask your questions in the comments section and our instructors will try to reply.
When should I expect to receive my badge?
You will receive your badge electronically after successfully completing the entire program. You will be emailed a PDF certificate.
When do I need to complete the program by?
The program must be completed by December 31, 2020.
Is the Post-Crisis Hospitality Management certificate applicable to a degree?
No. As a non-credit training program, it will not apply toward any degree programs.
Do I have to have an undergraduate degree in business to register?
No. While the program is targeted toward those in hospitality business, a business education background is not required. Many concepts will, of course, require an understanding of essential business practices.
Will there be homework or pre-reading? Will I need to access or buy any textbooks?
No, though some presenters may provide reading materials for a particular module.
How will I know if I have earned the certificate? Will there be a final exam or similar testing?
There will be a multiple choice quiz after each module. You must score a 70% or higher on each quiz to pass. The quiz will have unlimited attempts. There is no final exam. After you complete the module 7 quiz your certificate will automatically be processed to your email.
