This webinar will present three university programs that integrate real-life hotel industry software into hospitality curriculum. These programs are turnkey and are ready to be integrated into such courses as Introduction to Hospitality, Lodging Management, Hotel Operations, Front Office Management, Hospitality Technology, Hospitality Accounting & Finance, Capstone Project, or Hospitality Strategic Management. So far, more than 5,000 students and 100 professors in 15 countries have used one of these technology solutions in their classes with high success. Each program comes with learning objectives, assignments, and manuals that were developed to assist students with learning the systems. The webinar will present the following university technology programs:

Speakers

Dr. Cihan Cobanoglu

Professor Cihan Cobanoglu is the McKibbon Endowed Chair Professor of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Leadership (CHTL) at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee (USFSM), who also serves as the Director of the M3 Center for Hospitality Technology and Innovation and Coordinator of International Programs for the College of Hospitality and Tourism Leadership. He is a renowned hospitality and tourism technology expert. Dr. Cobanoglu is a Fulbright Specialist commissioned by the Fulbright Commission which is part of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and World Learning (2018-2021). He is a Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) commissioned by Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP) and Educational Institute of American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA).

 


Dr. Katerina Berezina

Katerina Berezina, Ph.D., CHTP, CRME, CHIA, is an assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Berezina’s research interests are in the areas of information technology in hospitality and tourism, electronic distribution, and revenue management. She serves as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology (JHTT) and holds a Secretary position on the board of the international Hospitality Information Technology Association (IHITA). Dr. Berezina is also a coordinator of two university programs that integrate real-life hotel software into the hospitality curriculum: innRoad University Program and M3 Operations Management University Program.
